Elementary School Paraprofessional
Assist teachers, counselors and administrators in providing educational services to students with special needs. Work will involve assisting students with remedial, enrichment and/or independent living activities as well as supporting instructional and educational goals.
Job Summary:
Minimum of 7.0 hours/day, 5 days/week, 195 days/year
Elementary School Paraprofessional Day: 8:15 AM - 3:45 PM, Monday
- Friday
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years of college coursework OR an Associate's Degree or higher OR high school diploma with the passage of the Para Pro Assessment prior to employment One year of related successful work experience Strong interpersonal skills Experience in operating basic office equipment, such as copiers Ability to lift equipment, supplies and/or children weighing at least forty (40) pounds Physical ability to perform all of the essential functions of the job.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience working with students with special needs
Salary: $16.92/hour (non-degreed); $19.12/hour (2-year degree); $20.82 (Teaching Certificate)
