What You’ll Do

As a Civil Engineer at IFS, you’ll play a key role in planning, designing, and delivering high-quality projects. Your responsibilities will include:

Designing site layouts, roads, grading, stormwater systems, and utilities using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Assisting or leading land development projects as a project manager
Collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary design teams
Preparing site evaluations, schematic designs, and construction documents
Managing project schedules, budgets, and proposals
Mentoring junior staff and supporting business development initiatives
Occasional travel for site visits and client meetings

What We’re Looking For Must-Haves

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
3–5 years of professional experience in civil site design or land development
Site/civil experience on a variety of project sites including the ability to design site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion
Strong skills in AutoCAD;
Civil 3D experience preferred
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities
Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented

Nice-to-Haves

EIT or FE certification
Experience working with federal clients or large-scale public infrastructure projects
