Job Title:
Associate or Senior Associate, Client Accounting
Objective:
Maintain client books and assist in the day-to-day management of client financial activities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Record Financial Transactions
Assign deposits and outgoing payments to personal or business account of client household accurately.
- Month-end Close
Match internal records with bank statements to ensure accuracy
Bring discrepancies to the attention of leadership immediately and assist with resolution planning and execution as needed.
Become a data quality expert on assigned relationships, spotting trends, deviations, and providing insights to the advisor team
- Reimbursement Assessment
Review and decipher client transactions and coordinate reimbursements.
Monitoring and awareness of client provided travel schedules.
- Prepare Client Ready Financial Reports
Deliver essential financial reports to the advisor and tax team in a timely manner
Profit and loss statements
Balance sheets
Client Specific Reporting
- Accounts Payable
Process vendor payments for clients
Maintain updated vendor records for tax preparation and filings
- Payroll Administration
Administer and record payroll for business clients
Ensure tax agency payments are set up correctly for state/local requirements
- Tax Preparation
Assist with the yearly issuance of client tax forms and preparation of tax documents needed for filing
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Computer Skills
Advanced knowledge in Intuit Quickbooks (Desktop & Online) is preferred
Degree in accounting is preferred
- Ability to work within a team
