We are seeking a detail-oriented and scientifically savvy Remote Medical Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating clear, accurate, and engaging medical and scientific content tailored to healthcare professionals, patients, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders. This position is ideal for someone who can translate complex clinical information into accessible, high-quality written materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, write, and edit medical and scientific documents including:
    • Clinical study reports (CSRs), protocols, investigator brochures
    • Manuscripts, abstracts, and conference posters
    • Continuing medical education (CME) materials
    • Medical marketing content (brochures, white papers, slide decks)
    • Patient education materials
  • Ensure all content is accurate, evidence-based, and aligned with industry, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Interpret and synthesize clinical data from research studies, scientific literature, and internal sources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including medical affairs, regulatory, clinical operations, marketing, and subject-matter experts.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant therapeutic areas, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Apply consistent editorial style and formatting across documents.
  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a remote, self-directed environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Public Health, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a medical writer (agency, clinical research, pharmaceutical, or academic setting preferred).
  • Strong understanding of clinical research principles, medical terminology, and scientific methodology.
  • Excellent written communication, editing, and data interpretation skills.
  • Ability to explain complex medical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with AMA style and similar editorial guidelines (e.g., ICH, GPP).
  • Proficiency with common writing and data tools (Microsoft Office, reference managers, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate virtually.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with regulatory writing (FDA/EMA submissions).
  • Knowledge of specific therapeutic areas (e.g., oncology, cardiology, neurology).
  • Understanding of publication planning and medical communications processes.
  • Ability to create visually engaging scientific presentations.
  • Experience working in an agency or fast-paced project environment.
