- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Schedule:
Every other weekend and every other holiday required - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
- Openings: 4 Travel ER RN positions
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience required
- Comfortable and experienced caring for pediatric patients in a busy ED; pediatric emergency nursing experience preferred
- Active Registered Nurse license (Ohio or compact/multistate accepted)
- Ability to work posted schedule; blocked schedules cannot be accommodated
- Completion of required onboarding, health, and compliance screenings prior to start, including MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Fit Test, physical/health statement, influenza vaccine, 2-step PPD or IGRA, education and employment verification, Ohio fingerprints, criminal background check, skills checklist, competency exam, and core competencies
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a busy, 38-bed Emergency Department
- Perform rapid assessment, triage, and evidence-based interventions for acute and emergent conditions in the ED
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and elevate care as needed in high-acuity situations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate diagnostics, treatment plans, and safe dispositions
- Document care accurately and efficiently in accordance with Emergency Department protocols and electronic charting
- Educate and support patients and families during urgent and stressful situations
- High-volume, 38-bed Emergency Department with both adult and pediatric patient populations
- 5 fast-track rooms and internal waiting room supporting efficient patient flow
- 4 behavioral health swing rooms and strong behavioral health protocols
- 2 trauma/resuscitation rooms; high-acuity cases though not a designated trauma center
- Affiliated with Rainbow Babies & Children’s, leading to a regular pediatric ED patient population
