Advanced Practice Provider Pre-Admission Testing (2600023B)
Seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider for a Part-time position in Pre-Admission Testing at UH Beachwood Medical Center. APP to work in collaboration with Anesthesiology to assess pre-operative patient referrals. Clinical focus on medical optimization of patients prior to elective surgical procedures to include ordering of diagnostic testing and interpretation of results. Schedule is 10 hour day shifts (Mon-Fri) no weekends or holidays.
1 year Advanced practice provider experienc required.
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws.

- Advances own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education and participation in peer review
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and s ecurely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
- Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program (Required)
- (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Required)
- 1+ years as a Physician Assistant (Preferred)
- 1+ years as a Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
- Demonstrated leadership skills. (Required proficiency)
- Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships. (Required proficiency)
- Computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe. (Required proficiency)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook. (Required proficiency)
- Physician Assistant (PA) (Required) and
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) and
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
- Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (Required) and
- Practice with a supervising physician (Required Upon Hire) and
- Maintain national PA Certification (Required)
- Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required) and
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Ohio (Required) and
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) and
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
