Sr. Business Systems Analyst - S/4 Service and Construction Management Software
This position provides total support to the users of the SAP application system and ancillary software tools, including package installation, configuration, enhancements, process improvements, problem resolution, training and education, and report development. The focus is on Sales, Service, and HR functional areas, primarily supporting Tremco North American operations with potential extension to global operations. The role nurtures and ensures successful use of application systems tools.
Responsibilities- Provides feedback on the overall direction of implementing new SAP modules and releases of the SAP application software, as well as third‑party software tools.
- Provides second and third level help desk support; trains and assists users in the use of SAP business application software, prepares training materials, schedules and conducts application system training for IT staff or end‑user staff, and performs cost‑vs‑benefit analysis for application system development and enhancements.
- Acts as liaison between business users, software vendors, and the broader user community; participates in software and functional user groups to manage issues, evaluate enhancement opportunities, and stay informed on product direction.
- Performs systems analysis, design, configuration, and tasks related to enhancements, interfaces, data conversion and special reporting requirements.
- Elicits, analyzes, and documents business requirements and prepares functional specifications for system enhancements, integrations, reports, interfaces, workflow changes, and process improvements; works with technical resources to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Advises users on applicability of SAP baseline functionality & reporting, specialized configuration, extracts to PC‑based analysis tools, custom report‑writing and development, complementary software packages, or changes to business processes.
- Designs and assists users in documenting business processes and procedures, developing training materials, and delivering training.
- Performs thorough testing of all new and revised system functions and reports and conducts quality assurance reviews of procedural documentation and training materials.
- May act as a team leader or group leader for projects or tasks within a functional area such as sales, service management, construction management, and HR.
- 3‑5+ years of leadership experience (manager, supervisor, group lead, etc.).
- 4+ years of experience in SAP SM S/4 service and construction management software.
- Experience with SAP HR/HCM and/or Project Systems is a plus.
- 8‑12 months of SAP S/4 HANA implementation experience.
- 3+ years as an SAP Super User in a related discipline.
- Strong customer service skills and orientation; high degree of flexibility in interface with customers or constituents.
- 2 years of project‑management experience.
- Ability to distinguish, learn, and accept differences in business and end‑user requirements.
- Willingness to learn and expand technical knowledge and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with effective cycle‑time‑sensitive time‑management and project‑management skills.
- Read, write and communicate fluently in English.
- Note:
some experiences and time frames may overlap.
- General knowledge and understanding of business operations.
- In‑depth knowledge of a specific functional area of business operations (manufacturing, finance & accounting, sales & distribution, etc.).
- In‑depth knowledge of the SAP application software, including its functions & capabilities, configuration, reporting, and support requirements.
- Proficiency in analysis, design, and testing techniques.
- Good project‑management skills, including planning, methodologies, time tracking, leadership, etc.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficiency with various report‑development tools, report writers, or query tools, etc.
- Basic understanding of IT communications networks.
Salary range: $105,000 to $125,000.
