Courier

Sunrise Medical Laboratories, Inc., a leading clinical reference lab serving the Mid-Atlantic, seeks a full-time Courier to support accurate and timely diagnostic testing. In this role, you will safely transport specimens, supplies, and reports between our Chantilly, VA facility and regional healthcare clients. You will follow established routes, maintain strict chain-of-custody and biohazard handling procedures, and protect patient confidentiality. Couriers work closely with lab teams and clients, representing our culture of quality, professionalism, and patient-centered service while supporting critical testing turnaround times.

Responsibilities

• Safely pick up and deliver laboratory specimens, reports, and supplies to clients on scheduled routes
• Verify specimen labeling, documentation, and chain-of-custody requirements at each stop
• Operate and maintain company vehicle in accordance with safety, cleanliness, and regulatory standards
• Follow all infection control, biohazard handling, and HIPAA/confidentiality procedures
• Communicate professionally with clients, dispatch, and lab staff regarding pickups, delays, or issues
• Use route management or handheld systems to track deliveries and obtain signatures
• Assist with sorting, loading, and unloading materials at the laboratory and client sites
• Report vehicle issues, route hazards, or incidents promptly and complete basic logs or paperwork
