R&D Pilot Plant Technician

Pay Rate: $25/HR

Location:

23800 Mercantile Road, Beachwood, OH

Qualifications:

• Must have mechanical aptitude and excellent laboratory or pilot plant scale skills, including detailed record keeping and knowledge of safe handling of chemicals and equipment
• Must be able to lift and handle up to 40 lbs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office software and Lotus Notes required

Responsibilities:

Working in a team environment under minimal daily direct supervision in chemical laboratory and pilot plant. Tasks involve processing and synthesis of chemical catalysts and substances in solid and liquid forms, including autoclave, mixing, heat treating, extruding, pelletizing operations. Organize and store data in electronic databases, including MS products and custom applications. Work closely with supervisor and team both in the pilot plant and in the lab to provide raw materials, samples, and data.

Ability to regularly lift 20kg and work in body and respiratory protection equipment (powered air purifying respirator). Identify hazards and work safely following EHS (Environmental Health and Safety.
