Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

CBHC is seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our interdisciplinary behavioral health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to adults experiencing acute and chronic mental health conditions, helping individuals achieve recovery, stability, and improved quality of life.

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and medication management services
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on client needs and clinical best practices
• Assess short- and long-term treatment needs and adjust interventions accordingly
• Establish medical necessity and make recommendations for additional behavioral health services when appropriate
• Educate clients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment options, and safety planning
• Prescribe medications in accordance with Ohio law and professional standards
• Coordinate care with primary care providers, community resources, and other healthcare professionals to support whole-person health
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, case consultations, and care planning activities
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Promote recovery, wellness, and person-centered outcomes through evidence-based psychiatric care

Required

• Current Ohio APRN license as a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)
• Psychiatric specialty certification (PMHNP-BC or Psychiatric/Mental Health CNS)
• Active, unrestricted DEA registration and Ohio prescriptive authority
• Master's degree in Nursing
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and psychopharmacology skills
• Proficiency with electronic health records and e-prescribing systems
• Commitment to serving adults with serious mental illness and complex behavioral health needs

Preferred

• Three or more years of psychiatric care experience
• Experience providing psychiatric services in an outpatient behavioral health setting
• Experience working with underserved populations or community mental health organizations
• Four or more years of experience utilizing EMR systems
