Medical Device Sales – VA & Orthopedic Channels

Location: In Office

Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Base Salary + Performance-Based Bonus

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and highly organized Sales Support Specialist to support and accelerate growth across our VA (Veterans Affairs) and DME (Durable Medical Equipment)/ Orthopedics sales channels. This is a high-activity role ideal for someone who thrives in outbound prospecting, sales support, and fast-paced execution.

This individual will work closely with the VA National Sales Manager, DME / Orthopedic
Sales Manager and Marketing Director
, serving as a critical engine behind pipeline generation, lead nurturing, appointment setting, and sales operations support.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Generate and prospect new DME leads through outbound calling, email, and follow-up
  • Build and manage target account lists
  • Track and report all sales prospecting activity
  • Develop competence in IME’s CRM system and customize for our use
  • Manage the CRM system – including all uploading and updating data and creating output reports
  • Qualify leads and nurture prospects through the sales funnel
  • Set appointments and schedule virtual or live sales meetings
  • Serve as first point of contact for inbound sales inquiries and website leads
  • Coordinate demo logistics and scheduling
  • Support and execute virtual product demonstrations
  • Track demo activity and outcomes
  • Manage post-demo follow-up and next steps
  • Provide direct administrative and sales support to the
    VA National Sales Manager
  • Assist with account coordination, follow-ups, and opportunity tracking
  • Help support vendorization efforts within VA Medical Centers (VAMCs)
  • Maintain VA account lists and pipeline documentation
  • Assist Sales Manager with coordination of 1099 sales representatives
  • Manage territory assignments and rep call schedules
  • Maintain rep “touch” cadence and activity tracking
  • Take notes during sales calls and execute follow-up tasks
  • Schedule quarterly and onboarding/training calls for new reps
  • Execute and track 30-60-90 day schedule for all newly hired reps
  • Support national sales meetings and training initiatives
  • Distribute leads to new reps
  • Collect rep feedback and success stories for Marketing vehicles
  • Create price quotes and estimates using Netsuite
  • Set up new reps and customers in sales systems
  • Assign accounts and maintain CRM accuracy
  • Generate and distribute sales reports and scorecards
  • Manage internal sales documents, reference lists, and pipeline tools
  • Support salesforce reporting and coordination for partner programs
  • Attend trade shows and industry events as needed
  • Occasional on-site customer visits to support sales efforts
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with customer service and operations

Requirements
  • 3+ years of sales or sales support experience (healthcare preferred)
  • Strong outbound calling and prospecting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional, energetic phone presence
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical and clinical concepts
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a growing organization
  • Experience with CRM systems, Salesforce, and/or Net Suite preferred
