Job Description

Our Chemprene location of the AMMEGA Specialty team, we are currently looking for a/an Operator I.

As an Operator I, you will be responsible for proficiency in one or two of the following machines:
Rotocure, Presses, Laminator, Slitters, Wrapper, Unwrapper, and Warm Up Mill. You will report to the Production Supervisor and be part of the Production Team. This role is based in Beacon, New York.

A day in the life of an Operator I can look like:

• Tests all safety devices/emergency stop buttons at the start of each shift

• Conducts safety audit of area at the start of each shift

• Completes Hoist Safety Checklist at the start of each shift

• Notifies Supervisor of any safety hazard found during shift

• Reviews production schedule and verifies expectations for the shift

• Reads process route sheet (PRS) to determine specifics of job scheduled

• Gathers appropriate material for job (poly, shells, etc.)

• Operates machine according to Standard Operating Procedures

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• High School Level Math Skills
• Ability to work in a team environment

• Prior forklift experience and current forklift certification
