Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with speech and language needs for the 2026-27 school year. This onsite role, located near Bear, DE, runs from August 19, 2026, through June 15, 2027, Monday through Friday. Work a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, including a 30-minute paid lunch, serving either early childhood, middle school, or elementary-aged students, depending on your qualifications and interests.

Several caseloads are available:
  • Itinerant Early Childhood (requires SLP-CCC; not available to Clinical Fellows, SLPA, or virtual applicants)
  • Springer Middle School, General Education (grades 6-8; open to SLP-CF; not virtual or SLPA)
  • Mount Pleasant Elementary B.R.I.D.G.E.S. Program (intensive/complex student needs; SLP-CCC required; not CF/SLPA/virtual)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Delaware SLP License (required for presentation)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), depending on position
  • Previous school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with educational teams
Core Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy in an educational setting
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop IEPs for students with speech and language challenges
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, staff, and families
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and compliance with district and state requirements
  • Foster a supportive, positive learning atmosphere for diverse student needs
