About usThe CRUK Scotland Institute is a cancer research institute, situated in Glasgow with approximately 250 researchers split across 30 research groups consisting of PIs, postdoctoral scientists, PhD students and scientific officers. It is one of Europe's leading cancer research centres, supporting cutting-edge work into the molecular mechanisms of cancer development. As well as core support from Cancer Research UK, the Institute also receives an additional third of its total income from external grants and industry collaborations.
It has an excellent reputation for fundamental cancer research, including world-class metabolism studies and renowned in vivo modelling of tumour growth and metastasis.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to provide high-quality personal assistant support to members of our Faculty Team which is comprised of scientific and operational managers who require varying degrees of administrative support including diary management, travel booking, arranging meetings and venues, preparing expenses and minute taking. This will include booking rooms and venues, organising catering and on occasion preparing agendas and minuting meetings.
You will be highly motivated, looking for a challenge and able to work on your own initiative. You will have significant experience working in a PA role, along with experience of working with senior managers. Experience of working within an academic, clinical or scientific environment is desirable. You will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient with using standard Microsoft Office suite of packages
