Koch Fertilizer is looking for a Full-time Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team in Beatrice, Nebraska
. The opportunity will be begin late May to mid-June 2027.

• Take on projects that are representative of the work our full-time engineers do, gaining hands‑on experience supporting plant reliability, maintenance, and operational excellence.
• Analyze equipment and operational data to identify improvement opportunities, support decision-making, and drive process optimization initiatives.
• Support predictive and preventive maintenance efforts to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Participate in root cause analysis and troubleshooting activities to help resolve equipment and operational challenges.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation, including P&IDs, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), piping isometrics, plot plans, and equipment specifications.

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb straight ladders. Some work may require heights in excess of 100 feet.
• Wearing industrial chemical plant uniforms and PPE as required.
• Confined space entry may be required.

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technologies, or related field.
• Eligible for full-time employment before or by May 2027
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
• Willing and able to meet all physical requirements

• Experience troubleshooting mechanical equipment, engines, rotating equipment, or maintenance systems
• Demonstrated involvement in engineering design teams, student organizations, or hands‑on mechanical projects
