This classification level performs administrative and managerial work under the administrative direction of the presiding judge(s), in a county court with a total annual caseload of 3,500 and less than 7,000 (averaged over the last three years) or in the operation of two courts, county or district. Responsibilities may include administrative support such as planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and supervising the administrative activities of the court and limited judicial functions involving non-contested matters as assigned by the presiding county judge.
Assigns, supervises, and reviews the work of staff clerical and administrative staff.

- Starting Salary:$60,313.77 annually (Hiring Rate).
- Immediate Growth:
Earn a 2.5% pay increase after successfully completing your probation period (if starting at Hiring Rate). - Starting Rate Flexibility:
Higher starting pay may be considered based on education and experience, subject to final management approval. - Please Note:
Candidates approved to start above the Hiring Rate (at or above the Minimum Permanent rate) are not eligible for the 2.5% post-probation increase. - Future Increases:
Annual cost-of-living adjustments (applied on July
1) are subject to State Legislature approval.
- Administers and provides oversight of court operations, which includes planning, organizing, administering, and evaluating court administrative processes and procedures; ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, codes, and/or standards.
- Supervises staff to include: prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff are trained; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and, making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
- Evaluates efficiency of the court's administrative functions and investigates procedural changes; prepares recommendations to the court.
- Administers budget of the court; oversees expenditures and budgetary items ensuring all information is accessible for audit; maintains all records.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Requirements/QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
