Shift Hours
1st Shift (6 AM - 2 PM) - Eligible for $2.00 Lead Differential.
About the CompanyExmark, a division of The Toro Company, is a leading manufacturer of commercial mowers and equipment for landscape professionals.
What Will You Do?- Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials to meet production goals.
- Examine items produced to determine if they meet specifications.
- Interpret company policies for workers and enforce policies and safety regulations.
- Interpret specifications, drawings, and job orders for subordinates and assign duties.
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Check inventory to ensure necessary parts and quantities are available and confer with purchasing department if needed.
- Identify and apply Lean methodologies to improve production methods, tools and equipment maintenance, inventory, and product quality.
- Meet production quotas and maintain quality standards.
- Train new employees.
- Maintain knowledge of activities of workers supervised.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with 5S standards.
- Conduct 3-Tier meetings with employees.
- Follow and develop written standard work and maintain it.
- Update production boards hourly.
- Assist in driving the job rotation program.
- Provide input on performance appraisal, rewarding, disciplinary actions, addressing complaints, and resolving problems for employees in the group.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires 18 months of on-the-job experience (or supervisor’s discretion).
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, production work orders, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to complete paperwork and correspondence.
- Must possess good communication skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
