OverviewPerforms repairs and troubleshooting on food processing equipment including, but not limited to, stuffers, vacuum pumps, mixers, grinders, packaging machinery, conveyors, and ovens. An ideal maintenance technician must be willing to work off‑shift hours, overtime, and be on call as needed.
Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and service on machines.
- Thoroughly clean machines and machine parts, removing parts, and reinstalling as necessary.
- Oil and lubricate moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
- Communicate damaged, worn, or broken parts to maintenance manager or tool supply specialist.
- Troubleshoot pneumatic, electric, and hydraulic machine problems and make necessary repairs.
- Install replacement belts, filters, gears, chains, and valves.
- Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.
- Enter work orders and work off an electronic maintenance system to track work performed.
- Clean, organize, and maintain a safe working area, parts & tools.
- Install equipment, including hooking up air, water, gas, and the alignment and leveling of equipment.
- Collaborate with plant manager and/or production team regarding status of maintenance projects to ensure they are aware of interruptions with production equipment or environment.
- Make necessary modifications and implement test runs; confer with maintenance manager or pertinent individuals regarding results and make additional alterations to machinery as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position during the shift, using repetitive motion
- Must be able occasionally lift, push, pull and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds across the plant for various needs

- Must have good hand/eye coordination
