Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance

Position Summary

What you’ll do:

The General Facilities Maintenance Technician will execute routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, and fixtures. Under the supervision of the General Maintenance Manager, you’ll adhere to established maintenance schedules, conduct inspections, clean, and repair facilities, equipment, or fixtures.

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time and move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently; able to sit or stand for long periods
• Able to work in various temperatures
• Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and hand or power tools
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders that support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 – $51.00, plus additional premiums that may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
