This role requires individuals who are passionate about helping people access critical services and providing excellent customer service. As an Eligibility Operations Worker, you will determine eligibility for a variety of assistance programs within our Economic Assistance or Medicaid teams.

• Complete 6–8 week paid training before beginning eligibility determinations.
• Review applications for assistance and verify or update financial and demographic information via electronic, phone, or in‑person exchanges.
• Use call‑center software and automated call distribution, voice response systems as needed.

• Minimum Qualifications: 24 semester hours of post‑high‑school education in behavioral sciences, public/business administration, social sciences, education, or a closely related field; or equivalent experience in customer service, eligibility determination, or related areas.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in human services, case management, or determination of financial assistance programs.
• Knowledge of customer‑service principles, interviewing practices, and sociological conditions that influence human behavior.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and navigation of multiple computer programs simultaneously.
• Empathy, respect, ability to work independently, meet deadlines, protect confidential information, and apply program regulations and policies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
