Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company as an Aircraft Field Service Engineer (FSE) on our Aeronautics Field Sustainment team. This FSE position directly supports the USMC customer at U.S. Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, South Carolina.
Responsibilities- Act as a Nose to Tail (NTT) FSE and serve as a subject matter expert in Avionics/Mission Systems (MS).
- Serve as an emerging authority in APG/Vehicle Systems (VS) and Supportable Low Observable (SLO)/Structures, and troubleshoot and analyze MS, VS, or SLO issues.
- Serve as the technical interface to the on‑site Customer (Operations and Maintenance) in resolving issues arising from maintenance and modification activities for all matters involving the F‑35 aircraft.
- Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of military aircraft experience with Mission Systems (Avionics) or Vehicle Systems (APG) or equivalent APG/Vehicle Systems (VS) and Supportable Low Observable (SLO)/Structures experience.
- Military customer maintenance experience.
- Desired
Qualifications:- F‑35 experience.
- 8 years of experience with Avionics/Mission Systems (MS) or Vehicle Systems (APG) or equivalent APG/Vehicle Systems (VS) and Supportable Low Observable (SLO)/Structures experience.
- Previous Field Service Engineer (FSE) experience highly desired.
- Experience communicating to Military leadership teams and Senior Leaders.
- Fault isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub‑system level.
- Technical report writing skills.
- Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings/schematics.
- Experience with engineering tools including FSE Vision/VAST, PDM, VAS, JEDI, JARVIS, and CRE.
- Knowledge of CATIA and System/Software Engineering Environment (S/SEE).
- Experience partnering with military operational units.
- Must be a United States citizen.
- Must possess at minimum an Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting and be able to obtain a Final Secret Security Clearance.
