Job Summary
Under the direction of the Nursing Director or Supervisor, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, directing nursing care for patients in accordance with clinical practice guidelines and regulations, incorporating age‑specific development and cultural values into care plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes.
The RN may supervise students as directed by the area supervisor.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Neonatal Resuscitation certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate Degree in Nursing
