Position: Nursing Student Apprenticeship

Location: 3T Medical/Pediatrics

Hours: Full-Time/Part-Time PRN

Shift: Nights

Classification: Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt

Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, assists in the delivery of nursing care. Follows the nursing plan of care and reports interventions, changes or relevant observation to the RN. Serves as an integral resource in implementing clinical and technical aspects of care. Is attuned to the individual needs of assigned patients and modifies approach to care based on patient needs, age and outcomes.

Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred, currently enrolled in final semester of nursing program and identified by nursing school facility as meeting requirements to participate in apprenticeship program.

Experience: Final semester of Nursing School.

• Possess visual, auditory, verbal acuity.
• Good communication skills.

Certifications / Licenses: BLS certification required prior to first clinical shift (must be issued by the American Heart Association).
