Instructor of Nursing (9-Month) – University of South Carolina Beaufort
Position Summary:
The University of South Carolina Beaufort invites applications for a Nursing faculty position (9‑month) beginning August 2026. The BSN program seeks candidates who want to make a difference and have the vision to create a world‑class education in a small university setting.
The successful candidate will teach a variety of classroom and clinical courses to BSN students, with preference given to a candidate with experience in medical‑surgical nursing. Additional responsibilities include student advisement, service on committees, and scholarship within the discipline.
BSN program details:
The BSN program offers a pre‑licensure track that prepares generalists to sit for NCLEX‑RN®. Courses are taught at two locations: one on the USCB Bluffton campus and one at the Beaufort Memorial Hospital Complex in Beaufort, SC. The program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and approved by the South Carolina Board of Nursing.
Salary:
Commensurate with credentials and experience. Master’s Degree in Nursing is required. Applicants should upload a cover letter, CV, teaching statement, and references.
- Master’s Degree in Nursing.
- Unencumbered multi‑state Registered Nurse licensure.
- Medical‑surgical and/or fundamental nursing teaching experience.
- Experience with high‑fidelity simulation (preferred).
- National certification in nursing education (CNE) preferred.
