American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg Tele Float position requiring 2 years of med surg experience and stepdown/PCU experience for frequent floating.

• Work in a 29-bed general surgical and orthopedic unit with medical overflow (4T MS unit)
• Frequently floats between Stepdown and Med Surg/Tele units
• Stepdown ratio 1:4-5 and Med Surg ratio 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 7:00
• Weekday schedule with every other weekend required
• Floating required within the hospital in rotation with staff
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Uses Meditech EMR system

• Active SC RN license or compact license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of med surg experience required
• Stepdown/PCU experience highly preferred due to frequent floating
• IV start skills required
• Meditech charting experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must not have any license or background hits
• Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility

• Provide nursing care across Med Surg, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU units as needed
• Comfortable managing a wide range of clinical skills including IV therapy, central line care, respiratory support, cardiac monitoring, and wound care
• Scrubs not provided; royal blue/white scrub color required
• Minimal to no RTO approved, especially during the first weeks of assignment
• Previous employees must have been gone at least 1 year and in good standing at time of departure to be considered
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• 13-week contract with possible extension
