DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN requiring 2+ years of OR experience, SC or compact RN license, and CNOR certification preferred.
Details- Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (6:45 AM-5:15 PM), 4 days per week with varying days off
- Weekend and weeknight call required
- High patient-to-caregiver ratios with frequent floating within the hospital, in accordance with Joint Commission standards
- Meditech charting system experience preferred but not required
- Wide variety of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, plastics, orthopedic, general surgery, urology, ENT, and robotics
- Active SC or compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- CNOR certification preferred
- Experience with robotic surgical systems (Da Vinci Xi, Mako) preferred
- Experience with cell saver, electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and Hana Table equipment preferred
- Perform scrub and circulating duties across a broad range of surgical specialties including trauma, orthopedic, general, gynecologic, urologic, and plastic surgeries
- Participate in emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia procedures
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Facility does not accept background or licensure discrepancies
- Expected to work some holidays and weekends in rotation with staff
- Previous employees must have been separated for at least 1 year and in good standing at time of departure to be eligible for rehire
- Minimal to no requested time off approved, especially during the first weeks of the assignment
- First-time travelers may be considered for the right candidate
