Travel RN - Telemetry - Stepdown

American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Stepdown RN with 2 years of experience and current SC or compact RN license for a night shift position with frequent floating between units.

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required (ACLS and NIHSS preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required
• Stepdown/PCU experience required due to floating expectations
• IV therapy/phlebotomy skills required
• Travel experience preferred but not required
• Meditech charting experience preferred but not required

• 22-bed adult MS Oncology unit (5T) with frequent floating to Stepdown and MS/Tele units
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• Patient ratios:
  Stepdown 1:4-5, Med Surg 1:5-6
• Schedule includes weekdays, every other weekend, and holidays as needed
• EMR:
  Meditech
• 13-week contract with possible extension
• Provide direct patient care across Med Surg, Stepdown, and Telemetry units as needed
• High floating expectations within the hospital in accordance with clinical experience and facility floating policies
• Scrubs not provided; royal blue/white required
• Expect to work some holidays and weekends in rotation with staff
• Minimal to no RTO approved; any requested time off must be discussed prior to assignment start
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous employees must have been gone at least 1 year and in good standing at time of departure
• Facility does not accept candidates with license or background history issues
