Quality Engineer

Role Summary

This role is responsible for implementing and sustaining a standardized Quality Management System in the Beaufort facility, with a primary focus on driving the facility to ISO 9001 certification and performance improvement. The position is working directly with the site leadership teams and cross‑functional teams to drive consistent quality execution, strengthen problem‑solving capability, reduce customer complaints and cost of poor quality.

This is an execution role. Success depends on building capability at the site level, holding teams accountable, and delivering measurable improvements in quality performance.

• Standardize quality processes, documentation, and controls across facilities
• Review inspection methods and sampling plans
• Approve inspection reports and documentation
• Manage non‑conformances and CAPA (identifying problems through root cause methods such as 8D, 5‑why, Fishbone and long‑term effectiveness of actions)
• Support external audits and customer interaction (hosting audits, respond to findings and support customer requirements)
• Conduct internal audits within the facility to ensure compliance
• Strong communication mindset to have cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, production and supply chain to influence improvements without enforcement
• Drive cost per pound through quality focused initiatives
• Ensure corrective actions are implemented, verified and sustained through sustainable tracking

• Reduction in customer complaints internal and external
• Reduction in cost of poor quality
• Improve facility documentation as we drive toward ISO
  90001 certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Manufacturing, or related fields
• 3‑5 years of experience in quality, manufacturing or related fields
• Hands on experience implementing and sustaining quality systems
• Strong experience in cross‑functional collaboration with teams
• Strong floor presence to work with operations

• Experience in chemical manufacturing
• Strong continuous improvement background and driving projects
• Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt)
• ISO 9001 certification understanding or relevant experience
