What We’re Doing
We are a team of security professionals responsible for developing, administering, and auditing security programs that protect classified material and export‑controlled data. We work closely with government customers at MCAS Beaufort, SC to ensure compliance with federal security regulations and implement security solutions that meet customer needs while minimizing risk. Our team members serve as Security Representatives, providing support for Special Access Programs (SAPs), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs, and DOD collateral classified programs associated with the F‑35.
We study and implement federal security regulations that apply to company compliance and contract execution as set forth in SAP security rules (DoD Manual 5205.07 and Vol 4 / JSIG), SCI security rules (ICD) or DOD security rules (NISPOM). We also develop and conduct security education classes, investigate security violations, and provide support for classified meetings and customer visits.

Role Overview
The Security Rep Asc Mgr is a critical management position that supports the F‑35 Program at MCAS Beaufort, SC. The selected candidate will primarily act as Security Shift Operations Manager in a Special Access Program environment, reporting to the MCAS Beaufort F‑35 Site Security Manager. Responsibilities include employee recruitment, training, performance management, work assignments, recognition and disciplinary actions, designing operating policies, managing projects, and conducting briefings and meetings with internal and external representatives.
The candidate will also manage multiple security functional areas such as operational security, security education, personnel security, industrial security, investigations, and document control.
The selected candidate will serve as Security Lead in the Site Security Manager’s absence, coordinating subordinate recruitment, selection, training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. This is primarily a first‑shift position; candidates may be required to support first, second, or third shift, including weekends, and occasionally work non‑standard schedules or travel to support F‑35 security operations outside of MCAS Beaufort, SC.
A Top Secret/SCI clearance is required in the future.
- Final transferable SECRET clearance with closed investigation date within 5 years, or confirmed enrollment in the CE program to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI.
- Must obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs.
- Familiarity with classified environments and classified materials.
- Experience working on Special Access Programs.
- Knowledge of F‑35 Program Security requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi‑task, be flexible, and adapt to changing program requirements.
- Experience leading and managing people, teams, and resources.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).
- Prior L‑Code Manager experience in a Lockheed Martin Security environment (F‑35 L‑code experience is a plus).
- In‑depth knowledge of DoD Manual 5205.7 and Volume 4, DoD Manual 5200.01 Volumes 1‑3, ICD 705, and related Technical Specifications.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills, mentoring, teaching, guiding, and coaching.
- Professional engagement with Senior Level Military and Government Civilian personnel.
- Prior experience as a CSSO, GSSO, or PSO.
- Familiarity with NISPOM.
- Experience working in a military environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to multi‑task and remain flexible with changing program requirements.
This position requires U.S. citizenship and a Top Secret clearance with a recent investigation or continuous evaluation status. You must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.
Employment DetailsFull‑time position located at MCAS Beaufort, SC. Shift: First (with potential support of second or third shift as required). Standard work week 40 hours with occasional non‑standard schedules.
