Electrical Service Manager

Job Description

Kintz Electric LLC. is seeking an experienced, organized, and customer-focused Electrical Service Manager to oversee our electrical service operations throughout the Low country. This position is responsible for managing service technicians, coordinating daily schedules, maintaining strong customer relationships, reviewing job performance, and ensuring service work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the companies’ standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the daily activities of the Electrical Service Department.
• Manage and dispatch electricians and apprentices based on workload, location, priority, and technician skill level.
• Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and accountability to service personnel.
• Review service calls, provide estimates, work orders, material requirements, and completed jobs.
• Communicate with customers regarding scheduling, job status, recommendations, pricing, and concerns.
• Assist technicians with troubleshooting and technical issues in the field.
• Ensure work complies with the NEC, applicable local codes, OSHA requirements, and company safety policies.
• Monitor technician productivity, quality of work, callbacks, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure accurate documentation of labor, materials, job notes, photos, and other required information.
• Coordinate with office staff, vendors, contractors, inspectors, and customers as necessary.
• Assist with estimating and pricing service work, repairs, upgrades, and small projects.
• Manage service vehicles, tools, equipment, and material accountability.
• Identify opportunities to improve department efficiency, profitability, and customer service.
• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, training, evaluating, and developing service personnel.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and work toward timely resolutions.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent Kintz Electric positively in the community.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of electrical experience, with previous supervisory, foreman, service management, or project management experience strongly preferred. Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of residential and commercial electrical systems, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a solid understanding of the National Electrical Code.

Applicants must possess strong leadership, communication, organizational, and customer-service skills; be comfortable managing multiple service calls and priorities simultaneously; have basic computer and scheduling software proficiency; and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who can lead people and run the business side of a service department.

The right candidate will take ownership of the department, hold employees accountable, support technicians in the field, communicate effectively with customers, and continually look for ways to improve productivity and profitability.

This is not strictly an office position. The Service Manager must be willing and able to visit job sites, assist with troubleshooting, when necessary, inspect completed work, and provide hands-on leadership to the team.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: Competitive and based on experience and qualifications
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Location: Beaufort, South Carolina
