The Advanced Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Technician in the Pearce Renewables Operations and Maintenance (OM) division performs tasks involving operations and maintenance (O&M) and physical labor at commercial and industrial solar energy projects located throughout the United States. These are local sites – candidates should reside within 50 miles of the Beaumont, California area.

• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as an authorized person under properly performed LOTO conditions.
• Conduct daily safety and task planning discussions, including pre‑task planning, Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs).
• Interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner.
• Act as a team member to support site work, which may include supervising field work onsite focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.

• 4+ years of electrical proficiency relating to electrical systems and components is required.
• Renewable energy experience preferred.
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail with the ability to recognize potential issues and provide safe solutions.
• Post‑secondary education preferred.
• Electrical certifications such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA
  70E preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal skills to meet Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) internal and external requirements.

• Candidates residing in the Beaumont, California area preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license for at least a year.
• Work may involve rotating shifts.
• Must be able to perform prolonged standing and work in ergonomically challenging positions.
• Must be able to work in varied climates based on location.

Hourly rate: $28.00–$32.00 DOE.
