The Universal Banker

The Universal Banker is an entry level position responsible for the assistance in the execution of sales, products or service activities in coordination with the customer service team. The overall objective of this role is to foster relations with customers to build loyalty and to help increase sales to individual consumer clients.

• Assist in basic account opening for existing customers
• Provide service delivery to internal and external customers to resolve account service issues
• Execute financial transactions in accordance with bank policies and procedures
• Refer opportunities to segment partners when appropriate
• Create sales opportunities out of service transactions and resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and effectively
• Support sales and service activities within the branch by participating in seminars, micromarketing events, promotional campaigns, product initiatives, and related events
• Adhere to operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures to ensure the safety and security of customer and bank assets
• Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and by applying sound ethical judgment in personal behavior and business practices, escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency

• 1‑3 years of relevant experience
• Previous retail banking or similar experience required
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
