Position SummaryThe Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Director of FP&A and plays a critical role in supporting plant operations, financial planning, and EBITDA improvement across the organization. The analyst partners closely with plant leadership and executive management—including the CFO, CEO, and COO—to provide actionable financial insights that drive operational performance and data‑driven decision‑making. The role focuses on operational finance, production analytics, and financial modeling to support manufacturing efficiency, cost control, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with the Plant Manager and operations leadership to monitor and improve plant‑level EBITDA and operating performance.
- Provide financial analysis to support production planning, capacity utilization, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Operations, Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, Sales, and Marketing) to align operational plans with financial objectives.
- Identify and evaluate cost reduction and margin improvement opportunities across manufacturing operations.
- Support the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range financial planning processes.
- Develop and maintain financial models and operational dashboards to enable plant decision‑making and strategic planning.
- Conduct variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior‑year results, identifying key operational drivers.
- Perform trend analysis and scenario modeling to support production strategy and profitability improvement.
- Monitor and analyze operational metrics such as cost per case/gallon, yield and fruit recovery rates, labor efficiency, conversion costs, scrap, waste, shrink, and OEE.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve operational efficiency, cost control, and throughput.
- Support plant leadership with data‑driven reporting and performance dashboards.
- Prepare financial and operational reporting for senior leadership, investors, and lenders.
- Partner with Accounting during the monthly close to ensure accuracy and reconciliation to the general ledger.
- Maintain integrity and accuracy of financial models, operational metrics, and reporting outputs.
- Support evaluation and financial analysis of capital investment and operational improvement projects.
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, reporting efficiency, and analytics capabilities.
- Utilize technology and financial planning tools to strengthen FP&A and operational finance effectiveness.
- Support special projects and cross‑functional initiatives as needed.
- 4–6+ years of experience in FP&A, operations finance, business analytics, or related financial roles supporting manufacturing or operational environments.
- Experience supporting plant operations, supply chain, or production finance in industries such as CPG, food & beverage, manufacturing, or retail preferred.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with operations leadership and cross‑functional teams to improve operational performance and profitability.
- Experience in high‑growth, private‑equity‑backed, or rapidly scaling organizations is a plus.
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance reporting.
- Experience developing financial models, scenario analysis, cost analysis, and variance analysis to support operational decision‑making.
