Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled B Pressure Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations, primarily welding stick, to fabricate and spool pipe, structural and other structural components. This role requires a robust understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and mechanical systems to ensure precise and safe welds in accordance with industry standards. The B Pressure Welder will play a critical role in supporting our construction, manufacturing, and assembly projects with a focus on safety, efficiency, and craftsmanship.
Duties- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and procedures
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to prepare materials for welding
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment to move heavy components safely within the work area
- Conduct machining operations as needed for component fitting and assembly
- Measure parts accurately using calipers and other precision tools to ensure proper fitment
- Assist in assembly processes by welding ductwork or structural elements for construction projects
- Follow safety protocols related to welding operations, including proper handling of gases, chemicals, and equipment
- Maintain a clean work environment and perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high quality standards
- Valid F3/F4 ticket
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to fabrication, assembly, and machinery operation
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, and basic machining processes
- Skilled in using calipers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and schematics interpretation
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes involving ductwork or construction-related welding tasks
- Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to measurements and fabrication tolerances
- Experience working with schematics for assembly or repair projects is preferred
- Commitment to safety practices in a manufacturing or construction environment
- Ideal candidate will posses H2S Alive, CSO, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015
Pay: $18.03-$46.50 per hour
