Position Summary

The Quality Assurance (QA) Processor is responsible for supporting inventory accuracy and maintaining product quality throughout the receiving, storage, and shipping processes within the distribution center. This position performs product inspections, investigates inventory discrepancies, documents quality issues, and partners with Operations, Receiving, Inventory Control, Customer Service, and other departments to ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements. The QA Processor plays a critical role in protecting inventory integrity and supporting operational excellence.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Direct Daily Operation
  • Inspect inbound merchandise for damage, shortages, overages, incorrect labeling, and other quality concerns.
  • Verify item numbers, UPCs, case pack quantities, labels, lot numbers (when applicable), and product descriptions against system records.
  • Perform routine quality audits on inbound, outbound, and stored inventory.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and determine root causes of quality and inventory issues.
  • Document inspection results, damaged merchandise, inventory variances, and corrective actions accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate with Receiving, Inventory Control, Operations, Customer Service, and other departments to resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure products meet customer-specific quality standards before inventory is released for distribution.
  • Escalate recurring quality or inventory issues to management with supporting documentation.
  • Assist with cycle count investigations and inventory research as needed.
  • Maintain organized records of audits, inspections, reports, and quality documentation.
  • Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety policies, and quality standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance inventory accuracy and product quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Communication and

Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with fellow team members to ensure coordinated and efficient operations.
  • Work closely with fellow team members, including Material Handlers, PIT Operators, Leads and management.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide input for process improvements.
