Accountant, Financial Reporting, Cost Accountant

A growing industrial services and construction organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This position will play a key role in supporting daily accounting operations, financial reporting, job cost accounting, and project-related financial activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, experience working in industrial, construction, manufacturing, or project-based environments, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both office and field personnel.

• Support daily accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities
• Assist with job cost accounting, project cost tracking, labor allocations, and financial reporting
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close schedules
• Review project costs and collaborate with operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Analyze variances, investigate discrepancies, and support cost control initiatives
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
• Support internal and external audits and maintain compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Experience in construction, industrial services, manufacturing, EPC, or project-based environments preferred
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations and project teams
