The Subcontracts Manager plays a critical role in executing compliant, value-driven subcontracting activities across multiple disciplines. This on-site role in Beaumont, Texas supports project execution by qualifying suppliers, managing competitive events, negotiating agreements, and overseeing subcontract performance. The role partners with Project Management, Estimating, Procurement, Operations, and other functional teams to deliver commercial excellence.
Travel required:
approximately 10%.
What You'll Do
- Develop complete RFP/RFQ packages for structural fabrication, E&I, insulation, fireproofing, and other scopes.
- Lead RFP and pre-award meetings, coordinate proposal evaluations, and prepare award recommendations.
- Negotiate commercial terms and coordinate technical scopes with PM, Legal, Engineering, Construction, and Finance.
- Administer subcontracts from award through close-out, including amendments and required documentation.
- Develop commercial bid evaluations and present recommendations to project teams and clients.
- Manage subcontract performance, change management, schedule adherence, and invoice review.
- Lead subcontractor meetings and maintain compliant subcontract files.
- Ensure adherence to corporate procedures and commercial standards.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years of subcontract administration or procurement experience (senior-level).
- Demonstrated experience negotiating subcontracts for services, construction, engineering, materials, and equipment installation.
- Knowledge of EPFC/CM subcontracting practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
- Experience in EPC, industrial, oil & gas, fabrication, or manufacturing industries is a plus.
