As we continue to expand our municipal construction operations, we are seeking an experienced Municipal Superintendent to lead field execution on public infrastructure and civil sitework projects.

Position Summary

The Municipal Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily field operations on municipal and public works construction projects. This role leads project execution related to underground utilities, drainage improvements, roadway construction, concrete infrastructure, site development, and public infrastructure upgrades while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on field leader with strong knowledge of municipal construction operations

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee daily field operations for municipal infrastructure projects including wastewater treatment plants, sewer systems, drainage improvements, lift stations, and underground utility installations.

* Coordinate subcontractors, crews, equipment, and material deliveries to maintain project productivity, safety, and schedule performance.

* Review civil drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure work is completed according to plans and municipal standards.

* Supervise installation of sanitary sewer, storm drainage, water utilities, force mains, concrete structures, and related civil infrastructure.

* Lead daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA regulations, trench safety requirements, and site-specific safety procedures.

* Monitor project schedules and proactively address field challenges to maintain construction timelines and quality standards.

* Maintain accurate daily reports including manpower, equipment usage, production tracking, inspections, and site progress documentation.

* Coordinate inspections, utility tie-ins, testing, and project activities with municipalities, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders.

* Ensure all work meets project specifications, quality standards, environmental regulations, and client expectations.

* Build and maintain strong working relationships with project teams, trade partners, municipal representatives, and clients.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent municipal construction experience considered.

* 5+ years of experience in municipal or heavy civil construction with experience leading field operations on utility or wastewater infrastructure projects.

* Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment plants, sewer systems, drainage infrastructure, underground utilities, and heavy civil construction practices.

* Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, utility plans, and construction schedules.

* Experience managing subcontractors, equipment operations, and municipal infrastructure projects.

* Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Bluebeam, and construction management software.

* Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

* OSHA 30 Certification preferred or ability to obtain.

* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to regional project sites as needed.
