Job description:

During the project execution on site, the Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the performance of the following tasks (list not exhaustive):

  • Evaluate the objective costs of additional works and VARIATIONS based on Unit Rates (civil, works, Mechanical Works, Piping, E&I, etc…)
  • Read drawings and interface with field engineering and construction Teams
  • Perform remeasurement and determinate the final quantities to be paid to construction contracts
  • Prepare and participate on a weekly basis to remeasurement and contractual meetings with Construction Contractors
  • Prepare MoMs for the various meetings under the scope of responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor (QS) and attend other project execution meetings
  • Store the Quantity Surveyor (QS) documents in the specific and dedicated area of the project sharepoint

Education / Training:

  • Preferrably engineering degree + extensive experience as Quantity Surveyor (more than 5 years)
  • Fluent in French and English (verbally and in writing)

Knowledge / experience:

  • Solid and confirmed experience on a similar role in a SITE construction, within an international context
  • Familiar with Construction Contracts based on Unit Rates (Civil Works, Mechanical, E&I, etc…) and able to interprate them correctly
  • Proven and extensive experience in negotiating variations and claims with Construction Contractors
  • Familiar with project team work and high skills in communication (verbally and in writing)
  • Self-confident, strong interpersonal skills, good sense of priorities, adaptable, organized and rigourous, able to work independently and manage efficiently various subjects in parallel
