JOB TITLE:

Student Video Broadcast CLASSIFICATION:

REPORTS TO:

Director of Community and Media Relations PAY GRADE: $8.50 Hourly

LOCATION:

PRIMARY

PURPOSE:

The student will be responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product that's suitable for broadcasting at the Thomas Stadium.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Must be a current student of Beaumont ISD enrolled in a video broadcasting class

* Must be legal working ag

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

* Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets and prepare correspondence

* Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner

* Eye for detail; accuracy is imperative

* Excellent oral and written communication skills

* Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative

MAJOR

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

* Produce camera footage

* Work with Final Cut Pro editing software

* Assist with the operation of the jumbotron

* Play music during pregame, postgame and half-time

* Produce announcements for upcoming events at both high schools.

Uses mainframe computer (AS400), personal computer, printer, typewriter, copier, calculator, fax machine, decollator and burster

* Work with frequent interruptions

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

* Light lifting, light carrying, reaching above shoulder, use of fingers, repetitive hand motions

* Frequent bending and stooping

* Prolonged use of computer

* Normal office environment/Working Outside
