Orthodontic Assistant

Overview

Gulfside Dental is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join their Beaumont team! Our office offers a modern and friendly approach to orthodontics, utilizing the latest technology. The ideal candidate for this role possesses outstanding interpersonal skills and an exceptional chairside manner, enabling patients to feel comfortable and heard. This role may require some local travel.

Compensation: $15-18 per hour, based on experience

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday through Friday
• Off Wednesdays

Qualifications

• A valid RDA license is required
• CPR certification is required
• Prior Orthodontic Assistant experience is required
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Proficiency in taking X-rays, cleaning and tightening braces, and performing various orthodontic procedures like wire placement and bracket adjustment
• Experience with dental software (such as Dentrix), digital imaging tools, and sterilization of instruments is necessary
• Ability to manage patient records, schedule appointments, and maintain inventory
• The ability to explain procedures and oral hygiene practices to patients is critical
• Empathy and strong interpersonal skills are essential for patient reassurance and education
• Willing to travel between our sister locations in Beaumont, Port Arthur, and Bridge City
