PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Coordinates Section 504 plans, annual reviews, conferences, and data reviews for several assigned district campuses.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- Valid teaching certificate
- Minimum three years teaching experience
- Proven knowledge and implementation of the Section 504 process
- Dyslexia training and/or certification preferred
- Strong knowledge base of best practices in curriculum, instruction, and assessment
- Ability to organize and coordinate Section 504 records
- Ability to interpret and analyze data
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with district staff, principals, teachers and parents
- Effective oral and written presentation skills
- Demonstrated effectiveness as a professional role model
- Ability to interpret state and federal laws, policy, procedures and data
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience with proven knowledge/implementation of the Section 504 process
- Dyslexia training and/or certification preferred

- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Light lifting and carrying, reaching above shoulder, use of fingers, repetitive hand motions; frequent bending and stooping
- Requires lifting/delivery of supplies to campuses
- May require moving of furniture to set-up for meetings/presentations
- Regular attendance is required
- Prolonged use of computer
- Normal office environment
- Readily adapt to a variety of circumstances
- May work prolonged or irregular hours
- Frequent district-wide and occasional out-of-district travel
** The State Board for Educator Certification will require all first time applicants for an initial credential to be fingerprinted as part of a national criminal background check. A cost of up to $49. 00 will be charged for fingerprinting.
