Job Summary
Adjunct Instructors in the Department of Educational Leadership provide high-quality instruction in graduate-level courses aligned with the department’s mission to prepare educational leaders for diverse school and organizational contexts. This position is part-time and filled on an as-needed basis depending on program enrollment and departmental needs.
Essential Job Functions- Teach assigned graduate-level courses using current pedagogical methods and maintain accurate records of student performance and grades.
- Maintain effective and timely communication with students, department chair, and university personnel.
- Other duties may be assigned to support departmental and university needs.
- A graduate degree (master’s or higher) in Educational Leadership, School Law, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in educational leadership or related subject matter.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and student success.
- Doctorate in Educational Leadership or related discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in educational leadership or related subject matter.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and student success.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to design and deliver engaging, rigorous, and relevant instruction for adult learners.
- Proficiency in implementing innovative and effective teaching strategies in online and hybrid environments.
- Ability to foster a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative learning environment.
- The essential functions of this position are primarily intellectual and relational.
- The role requires the ability to:
- Communicate effectively in virtual and face-to-face settings.
- Engage professionally with students, colleagues, and community partners.
- Utilize technology for teaching, assessment, and administrative tasks.
- Instruction occurs in online settings.
- Flexible scheduling based on course assignments and departmental needs.
