Job Summary

Adjunct Instructors in the Department of Educational Leadership provide high-quality instruction in graduate-level courses aligned with the department’s mission to prepare educational leaders for diverse school and organizational contexts. This position is part-time and filled on an as-needed basis depending on program enrollment and departmental needs.

Essential Job Functions
  • Teach assigned graduate-level courses using current pedagogical methods and maintain accurate records of student performance and grades.
  • Maintain effective and timely communication with students, department chair, and university personnel.
  • Other duties may be assigned to support departmental and university needs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A graduate degree (master’s or higher) in Educational Leadership, School Law, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in educational leadership or related subject matter.
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching and student success.
Desired Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Educational Leadership or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise in educational leadership or related subject matter.

Key Competencies
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to design and deliver engaging, rigorous, and relevant instruction for adult learners.

  • Ability to foster a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative learning environment.
Physical Requirements
  • The essential functions of this position are primarily intellectual and relational.
  • The role requires the ability to:
    • Communicate effectively in virtual and face-to-face settings.
    • Engage professionally with students, colleagues, and community partners.
    • Utilize technology for teaching, assessment, and administrative tasks.
