Job Summary
The Instructor for Data Analytics is responsible for providing instruction for students enrolled in Data Analytics courses within the Business Technologies department, including dual credit high school students. The instructor maintains office hours and teaches extended day, hybrid, and online courses as required on campus and at alternate locations. The instructor participates in advisory committee meetings, attends workshops, seminars, and conferences to upgrade teaching skills, assists in curriculum development as needed, and maintains program computer labs.

- Maintain ethical and professional behavior
- Maintain knowledge of and adherence to the policies and procedures contained in the TSUS and LIT Policies and Procedures Manual
- Participate in college service, including committee work, advising and/or tutoring students, and recruiting
- Teach classes during the fall and spring semesters as required by the department (may include day, evening, weekend, Early College High School/dual credit, and online courses)
- Provide mentorship to dual credit partners/mentees
- Attend Teaching and Learning Center sessions to enhance teaching skills
- Stay abreast of national matters and trends in education
- Participate in assessment activities for the LIT Core Curriculum
- Assist in curriculum development as needed
- Perform other related duties as required
- Associate degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of teaching methodologies/pedagogical strategies
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Good time management skills
- Experience teaching in higher education
- Bachelor degree or higher in subject area
- Related field and/or industry certifications
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for most of the time; occasionally move about inside an office; constantly operate a computer or other office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine.
