Instructor for HVAC responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing instruction for students enrolled in HVAC courses (along with other related courses) in the Technology Department, including dual credit high school students. Responsible for maintaining office hours; teaching extended day classes, hybrid/online courses as required, both on campus and at alternate locations. Attends workshops, seminars, conferences to upgrade teaching skills and assists in the development of curriculum as needed.

• Maintain ethical and professional behavior
• Maintain knowledge of and adherence to the policies and procedures contained in the TSUS and LIT Policies and Procedures Manual
• Participate in college service, including committee work, advising and/or tutoring students, and recruiting
• Teach classes during fall and spring semesters as required by the department (may include day, evening, weekend, and early college high school/dual credit); including online courses
• Provide mentorship to dual credit partners/mentees
• Attend Teaching and Learning Center sessions to enhance teaching skills
• Stay abreast of national matters and trends in education
• Participate in assessment activities for the LIT Core Curriculum
• Assist in the development of curriculum as needed
• Perform other related duties as required

• Associate Degree in HVAC or related field from a regionally accredited institution is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC is required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
