Teacher
- Agriculture (CTE)
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject areas designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Qualifications:
- Education/Certification:
Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field preferred and/or: - Appropriate, valid CTE teaching certificate issued by Texas Education Agency;
- Eligible for and acceptance into an alternative teacher certification program and eligible for a temporary teaching permit;
- Full-time, compensated work experience in the program area preferred.
- Relevant industry-based certifications/licenses or willingness and ability to obtain within the first year of employment.
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience:
At least one year of student teaching or approved internship

Exposure to childhood communicable diseases; good general health and stamina needed May work prolonged or irregular hours Work inside, may work outside Regular exposure to noise Working conditions may vary pursuant to Americans with Disabilities Act
Equipment Used:
Personal computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment; P.E. teachers: automated external defibrillator (AED)
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise assigned teacher aide(s).
