Job TitleCivil/Structural Designer (Mid-Level)
Job OverviewWe are seeking a Mid-Level Civil/Structural Designer with 8–15 years of experience to support our projects. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Plant 3D and Navisworks, have experience working with point cloud scans, and be capable of developing 3D models and construction drawings. Experience with Advance Steel is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities- Develop 3D models and detailed drawings for civil and structural designs using Plant 3D, CADWorx, Recap & Navisworks, and Advance Steel.
- Work with laser scans/point cloud data to integrate and develop accurate structural models.
- Design structural layouts, steel and concrete detailing, foundation plans, and general arrangement drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other disciplines to ensure design accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare and organize construction drawings and documentation for fabrication and field installation.
- Perform clash detection and coordination with other disciplines using Navisworks.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and project requirements.
- Conduct quality control checks on drawings and models before release.
- Support field teams with drawing updates and modifications as needed.
- 8–15 years of experience as a Civil/Structural Designer in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
- Associate’s degree in Drafting or a related field (required).
- Proficiency in Plant 3D and Navisworks (mandatory).
- Experience working with point cloud scans and integrating scanned data into models.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel, concrete, and civil design principles.
- Ability to model and produce detailed drawings independently.
- Experience with AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
- Knowledge of Advance Steel is a plus but not required.
- Understanding of engineering specifications, codes, and industry standards.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Full-time, on-site in Beaumont, Texas (not virtual or hybrid). No relocation offered. Local candidates preferred.
