Responsibilities
  • Provide safety support at the project site, overseeing contractor activities.
  • Lead a team of Safety Techs and plan their activities to maintain a zero‑zero safety performance.
  • Oversee daily work permits, identify improvement opportunities, and initiate necessary actions.
  • Perform accident investigations and root cause analyses of injuries, illnesses, and key incidents.
  • Implement corrective actions following citations or safety incidents to remain compliant with occupational and health regulations.
  • Monitor contractors' safety programs and perform periodic HSE audits.
  • Conduct sample safety inspections daily, identify good practices and improvement opportunities, report findings to site management, and follow up to ensure timely conformance.
  • Develop and implement local safety training and campaigns to maintain a positive safety culture.
  • Lead a strong Safety Observation program.
  • Work majority of the time in the field performing HSE inspections, observations, and correcting UA & UCs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in a related HSE field.
  • OSHA 30‑hour construction training mandatory.
  • Good knowledge of applicable OSHA requirements.
  • Strong technical knowledge on HSE matters in construction, including basic electrical safety, hazardous energy isolation program and understanding of P&IDs.
  • At least 20 years of construction HSE site experience.
  • Minimum 10 years in a Lead HSE / Site HSE Manager role at job sites.
  • Strong communication skills and positive attitude toward contractor monitoring and HSE management.
  • Ability to impart training and lead HSE orientation.
  • Willingness to work majority of time in the field performing HSE inspections, observations, and correcting UA & UCs.
