Commissioning Specialist

We are seeking a Commissioning Supervisor to oversee and coordinate commissioning activities during the night shift. The role is responsible for ensuring systems are safely tested, started up, and transitioned in accordance with project requirements, engineering specifications, and commissioning procedures.

• Supervise daily/nightly commissioning and start-up activities across multiple disciplines.
• Coordinate with commissioning engineers, construction teams, operations, vendors, and project management.
• Review and execute commissioning plans, procedures, checklists, and test documentation.
• Monitor system readiness, testing progress, and turnover activities.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate timely resolution of deficiencies.
• Ensure commissioning activities are performed safely and in compliance with project procedures and applicable standards.
• Maintain accurate records of testing, system status, punch items, and turnover documentation.
• Provide shift handovers and communicate progress, issues, and priorities to the day-shift team and project leadership.
• Support system energization, functional testing, equipment start-up, and performance verification.
• Promote a strong safety, quality, and teamwork culture throughout commissioning activities.

• Bachelor’s degree or technical education in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of commissioning, start-up, construction, or industrial operations experience.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in an industrial, energy, chemical, or process facility environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, specifications, and commissioning documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during the night shift.
• Willingness to work a night-shift schedule and support extended hours as required by project activities.
