Position Information TxDOT's Beaumont District is looking for a Project Management Specialist I, II, or III to join us in our Beaumont Area Office. Project Management Specialist I (B20): $51,158 - $81,351/yearly
Project Management Specialist II (B22): $57,614 - $93,138/yearly
Project Management Specialist III (B24): $64,104 - $106,634/yearly

Performs project management specialist work for Department projects. Work includes coordinating the development, implementation, maintenance, and support of the Critical Path Method (CPM) for Department projects, and providing support for resource leveling, priority development, project analysis, reporting, and training. Works directly with the project manager to help define the project’s goals and objectives. Work requires extensive contact with department staff, governmental agencies, and private entities.
Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
Assesses and reports actual project progress versus planned progress to determine trends and variances.
Ensures proper schedule controls are appropriately implemented and maintained.
Monitors and reports on major milestones for the program portfolio.
Reviews detailed project schedules to ensure compliance with Department policies, practices, procedures.
Prepares special reports by researching, collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Plans, develops and maintains detailed project schedules and facilities on-time completion of projects with the optimal level of resources available.
Performs project monitoring and data collection to determine if a project is progressing according to budget.
